With the delta variant taking off around the U.S., the federal government Tuesday updated its masking guidelines for fully vaccinated people. The new advice is to mask up indoors if you live in a place with “substantial” or “high” coronavirus transmission. (The guidance for people who are unvaccinated remains the same: Always mask up indoors.) The CDC recommends all people to wear a mask, vaccinated or not indoors.

ENHANCEMENTS IN OUR CLEANING PROTOCALS:
The Fraser Valley Metropolitan Recreation District is taking additional steps to ensure the cleanliness of these facilities, along with the health and safety of our patrons by treating the facilities with an antimicrobial surface protectant that safeguards against viruses, bacteria and fungi. The product, manufactured by SD Labs is non-toxic, odorless, non-corrosive, hypoallergenic, and safe to breath and touch. It is also environmentally friendly compared to chemical disinfectants, biodegradable, and approved for use on all surfaces. The FVMRD has added this product, along with ATP monitoring. ATP monitoring can detect the amount of organic matter that remains after cleaning a surface. This is an additional part of a broad effort to enhance precautionary measures against the spread of COVID-19. To learn more about this product click here. Please email michelle@fraservalleyrec.org or call 970-726-8968 ext 0 to get your on-line username and password if you would like it to register for Fitness classes and would like to receive the on-line discount of $2.
