Winter Programs at the Icebox Ice Rink

After School Hockey Club

After School Hockey Club

After School Hockey Club is for kids of all abilities. If your child knows how to ice skate and wants to try hockey for the first time, then this is the program for them! If your child loves to play hockey but they are committed to other winter sports teams like skiing or gymnastics, this is an excellent program for them! Students MUST know how to ice skate before enrolling in this program. At the beginning of every class, Coach Kelton will lead the kids through some drills to improve stick handling, hockey strategy, and skating. Kids will scrimmage the last half of every class. Students should wear appropriate outdoor clothing, including a warm, waterproof coat, snow pants, winter gloves or hockey gloves, and warm socks. If kids have their own hockey helmet with a cage, they are encouraged to bring it. Coach Kelton has several hockey helmets for kids to borrow during this class.
