FVMRD Youth Program Supervisor
I went to school in Springfield, MO at Missouri State University. I have a degree in Recreation, Sport and Park Administration with an emphasis in Parks and Outdoor Recreation. Most of my experience with children is in a camp setting. I am a camp counselor for LIFE and this summer marks my 9th summer on a camp staff. I worked for a Girl Scout camp in Kansas City for four years, one summer was spent in Estes Park at the YMCA of the Rockies and another summer was spent in Sweden, Maine all on the outdoor education staff. My husband and I moved to Winter Park in 2015 to follow our passions and we couldn’t be happier. We have a cat named Mittens and spend our time downhill skiing, golfing, tennis, hiking and visiting as many national/state parks as we can!
FVMRD Youth Coordinator
I attended college at Northern Michigan University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. I’m from Little Falls, Minnesota and traveled to the Fraser Valley to be a cross country ski instructor at Devil’s Thumb Ranch. Over the last two years I have worked in a variety of youth programs. I have coached cross country skiing for Devil’s Thumb Junior Nordic and Winter Park Competition Center Nordic Teams. With Fraser Valley Rec I have been a counselor with our after school program, Friday field trips, and summer camps. I’ve also cross country ski instructed for FVMRD for the last two winters and coached running club! My hobbies includes cross country skiing, downhill skiing, running, backpacking, biking, and cooking. Some of my favorite childhood memories growing up include fishing with my grandpa, cooking with my grandma, and camping around different parts of Minnesota with my family!
Teen Marten Lead Counselor
Education: I attended the University of Northern Colorado and got my degree in Elementary Education. I also received a minor in Ceramics.
Experience with Children: I’ve ran the craftshop at Teton Valley Ranch Camp in Dubois, Wyoming. In this position I introduced ceramics to the camp. I also planned many other creative activities including flower pressing, fort building, leather belts/bracelets,and jewelry making to name a few. This past winter season I worked as a kids ski school instructor at Winter Park Resort.
Favorite Activities: I am an avid biker, skier, hiker, climber, and in general love spending my time outside. I also have a strong passion for making art and expressing myself creatively. My favorite form of art is ceramics and working in sculpture.
Favorite Childhood Memory: My favorite memory as a child would have to be making the yearly spring trip to Winter Park Resort from Kirkwood, Missouri to ski. This is what sparked my love for the mountains and brought me to the Fraser Valley!

Experience working with children: Volunteer for 7 years for VBS, babysitting, sports camp volunteer. I love working with children. This job may help me in my future college major. I grew up on a family ranch outside of Granby, CO. My sister and I loved to build forts outside by the creek. I also enjoyed hiking with my family during my childhood.
I’m double majoring in Cell Biology Neuroscience and Hispanic Studies at Montana State University, hoping to be a bilingual pediatrician someday. I grew up in Golden and spent all my weekends skiing or hiking in Winter Park, so I love the outdoors. I will be working on ski patrol this winter in Big Sky, MT. Backpacking, kayaking, tennis and yoga are my favorite activities. I taught yoga and geology to 6th graders for a week at an educational camp, worked for a Kid’s Night Out program for a year, and have been babysitting for about 8 years. I love working with kids and am excited for some adventures this summer!
I have lived in Granby my entire life. I love being outside, playing sports, and doing other fun activities.
