Family Sports
Outdoor Volleyball Tournament
Fraser Valley Rec is excited to offer an outdoor volleyball tournament for all ages and abilities. The tournament will take place on Saturday 7/9 and Sunday 7/10. Games begin as early as 9am and as late as 7pm. This tournament will have 3 divisions: Adult Sand- Competitive, 4v4; Adult Grass- Recreation, 6v6; Family Grass- Just for Fun, 4v4+.
Family Grass- This division is just for fun. All games will be played on grass at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex. The net will be short- 6 feet high. Games will be 4v4+, minimum of to two adults (18+) and two kids and a maximum of 2 adults (18+) and 4 kids on the court at a time. This division is not a tournament, all teams will play 4 games. Cost: $50. 6 team minimum, 12 team max.
Adult Sand- This division is the most competitive division. All games will be played on the sand courts at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex. Games will be 4v4. Tournament format will be pool play into single elimination tourney. All teams guaranteed 4 matches. All players must be at least 18 years old. Cost: $150 per team. 6 team minimum, 10 team max.
Adult Grass- This division is the moderately competitive division. All games will be played on grass at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex. Games will be 6v6. Tournament format will be pool play into single elimination tourney. All teams guaranteed 4 matches. All players must be at least 16 years old. Cost: $125 per team. 6 team minimum, 20 team max.
All Teams should register on FraserValleyRec.org or by calling the Grand Park Community Recreation Center at (970)-531-0963. Registration Deadline is 7/1/22.
NFHS Rules will be followed for this tournament.
Players may only play in one division. Rosters are due at the start of the teams first game.
All divisions will be self-officiated- and any debated play/call/point will result in a replay.
All games will be rally scored to 25 (must win by 2), best 2 out of 3. The 3rd game (if needed) will be to 15 (win by 2).
In the event of a pool play tie, the tie breaker will be total points scored for each team. If there is still a tie, the winner will be determined by a flip of a coin.
Summer Sports Camps
Flag Football Camp
The Flag Football Camp is for 5th-8th graders. The first hour of each camp will be dedicated to learning positions and developing skills. Then players will pick teams, create playbooks, and scrimmage.
Players should wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring a water bottle and snack. Cleats are not necessary but can be worn if a player wants. All other equipment will be provided.
Camp is held from 9am-Noon at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex.

Session 2: 7/18-7/21
Cost: $50 (per session)
Field Games at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex
Capture the Flag, Two Base Kickball, Mega Tag, Fortress, and many more games! For kids ages 7-14, athletes will have fun learning to strategize with their teammates at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex. This program will be held Fridays 7/8-7/29, 9am-Noon
Kids who are enrolled in Wilderness Adventure Club are welcome to stay all day. Please pack a lunch, staff will supervise lunchtime between programs (noon-1pm).
Cost: $80 ($5 online registration discount).
Wilderness Adventure Club
This isn’t a sport… its just FUN!
Learn about the amazing outdoor world! Kids will be transported from the FVSC to different ecological areas in the Fraser Valley. Short hikes, survival skills, shelter building, and playing in the woods are planned for this program.
Fridays- 7/8 to 7/29, 1pm-4pm. This program can be paired with Field Games (see above) to make an all day activity for kids.
Challenger Soccer Camp
This camp is put on by Challenger Sports. You can register for this camp on their website.
This camp takes place at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex 7/18 to 7/22.

Youth Baseball
Fraser Valley Rec Youth Baseball is set to begin in May 2022.
-T-Ball-
For kids going into Kindergarten or 1st grade in the fall of 2022.
Practice for T-Ball will begin the week of May 16th.
-Machine Pitch-
For kids going into 2nd or 3rd grade in the fall of 2022.
Practice for Machine Pitch will begin the week of May 9th.
-Player Pitch-
For kids going into 4th, 5th, or 6th grade in the fall of 2022.
Practice for Player Pitch will begin the week of May 2nd.
Practice dates and times are determined by coaches. Practices will be held at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex and Aksel Nielsen Field. Home Games will be held at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex.

Youth Soccer
Fraser Valley Rec’s most popular youth sports league is back for 2022!
The 2022 Recreational Youth Soccer League will begin in late August and end in early October.
This league has three divisions: Kindergarten & First Grade, Second and Third Grade, Fourth Fifth and Sixth Grade. Please register your child based on the grade they will be in for the 2022-2023 school year.
Practices will begin on August 29th. Practices will be held at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex and Fraser Valley Elementary School.
Games will be held on Saturdays between 9am and 2pm at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex. Gamedays are: 9/10/22, 9/17/22, 9/24/22, 10/1/22. Makeup Games will be held the week of 10/3/22 if necessary.
Practice times are determined by coaches.
A jersey will be provided to all registered players. Parents are responsible for providing any additional equipment or clothing. Cleats and shin guards are highly recommended. Jerseys must be returned the end of the season.

Pre-K Sports
Intro to Baseball- Pre K
The Intro to Baseball program is designed for children age 3-6 to start their journey with baseball. Coaches will cover the basics of hitting, throwing, catching, fielding, and running in a fun, non-competitive environment. Our program supports physical development, motor skills, focus, and following instructions. This is a great social introduction to a team environment with a coach, and provides your child the foundation for success at the next level. Intro to Baseball is held every Monday in June from 5:30-6:30pm at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex
Intro to Soccer- Pre K
The Pre-K Soccer program is designed for the beginner player. We place an emphasis on introducing players to the very basics of soccer in a high-energy, fun environment through interactive and fun games and drills. This program is held on Mondays 7/11-8/1 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex.
Little Rippers Pre-K Bike Program
The Little Rippers Bike program is designed for children age 3-6 to improve their bike skills. Coaches will cover the basics of bike on pavement, dirt, over (small) obstacles and other bike skills in a fun, non-competitive environment. Our program supports physical development, motor skills, focus, and following instructions. This is a great introduction to the lifelong sport of biking.
All bikes welcome- strider bikes, training wheels, tiny little bikes. Students must have a helmet. Knee/elbow pads are encouraged.

If you have taken tennis lessons before, now it’s time to put your skills to use! Participants will play in fun games and drills and will learn to play points and matches. NJTL develops the character of young people by emphasizing the ideals and life of co-founder Arthur Ashe. The NJTL network shares a commitment to positive youth development and the importance of tennis as a lifetime sport. Participants will compete in the Arthur Ashe Essay Contest and will also do some fun educational projects when the weather is unsuitable to play tennis.

Junior Golf – Intro to Course Play
This class is designed for the young golfer ready to venture onto the course. We will introduce the full-swing, short-game, putting, rules, and etiquette and work towards preparing for the nine-hole play. Players MUST be ready to carry their own golf bag for nine holes, no carts! They must have had prior golf lessons. Golfers may bring their own equipment, although clubs will be supplied to those golfers who do not own their own equipment. The golfers ready to play the course will have the opportunity to split into different ability groups and apply their skills on the course. Lunch will be included and available BEFORE class for students. Lunchtime is from 11:30-12:00. For those boys and girls with minimal skating experience who want to improve their skills and learn to play hockey. A helmet of some type is required. Students MUST wear appropriate outdoor clothing including warm, water proof coat, snow pants, mittens or gloves, neck warmer and warm socks. Please pick up at 4:45pm at the Ice Rink.

After School Ice Skating Club- Level 2 is for kids with at least some experience ice skating. This class will play games that reinforce skills such as stopping, changing direction, and improving balance on skates. Kids will work to develop more advanced ice skating skills such as skating backwards, hockey stopping, and improving acceleration. This class is held on Wednesdays at the Icebox.
Skate rentals are included with registration. Kids should have winter clothes to skate in- ski/snow pants, winter jacket, gloves, scarf or neck gator, and warm socks. A helmet is required- ski helmets work great and keep kids warm- a bike helmet is also acceptable.
Transportation info will be communicated prior to the first week of class. Fraser Valley Rec is working with the East Grand School District to arrange for kids to ride the bus from Fraser Valley Elementary.
