Pre-Competition: Orcas
The Orcas group class refines technique and builds endurance in all four competitive strokes: Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly. In this class, swimmers will be introduced to racing starts, turns, and finishes, and they will also begin basic interval training by using the pace clock.

Join Grand County’s competitive swim team! Peak Swim Team is an organized competitive swim team focused on racing technique for all strokes and distances. Peak encourages the youth of Grand County to participate, develop, and improve their swimming skills while recognizing individual achievements, efforts, and contributions to team goals.
*NOTE: New swimmers must schedule an evaluation with Coaches Tony and Mark to ensure they are placed in the appropriate group.

With this experience, Coach Mark has put together a phenomenal Masters Swim Program for those looking to keep up with aquatic competitive fitness, improve on and practice their strokes, and to come together with other dedicated swimmers! The Masters Swim Program is for adults 18+.

Want to Become a Lifeguard?
American Red Cross Lifeguard Blended Learning
Provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. Prerequisites: Minimum age: 15 years; Swim 150 yards continuously forward facing using either Freestyle or Breaststroke, immediately into treading water for 90 seconds, immediately into a final 50 yard swim and exit without a ladder. Complete a timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds by starting in the water, swimming 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point, exit the water without using steps or a ladder. Participants who successfully complete the Lifeguarding course receive an American Red Cross Certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED & OXYGEN, valid for 2 years. You will receive a link for the on-line portion from the instructor after your registration and prior to class start.
