Fraser Valley Hockey Association

We love supporting hockey… can you tell by our NHL-sized ice rink right here in the Fraser Valley!

Sports unite, create friendships and togetherness. It’s a great way to keep in shape while having fun with a team. Fraser Valley Lacrosse Club

The not-for-profit, Fraser Valley Lacrosse Club was established in February 2016 to provide opportunities for boys and girls from Grand County.

Fraser Valley Recreation Foundation

It is the mission of the Fraser Valley Recreation Foundation (FVRF) to assist the Fraser Valley Metropolitan Recreation District in initiating, supporting and continuing recreational programs, cultural events, health and wellness projects and educational opportunities for the benefit and enjoyment of residents and visitors of the Fraser Valley. In addition, the Fraser Valley Recreation Foundation will help in providing and maintaining venues and facilities for these endeavors.

Grand Community Gardens

The Mission of the Grand Community Gardens is to enrich the individual, social and environmental health of Grand County through gardening education and providing residents the opportunity for learning how to grow their own food to become a more sustainable community.

The Fraser Community Garden is located at our Fraser Valley Sports Complex on the first dirt road off of CR 5, behind the ball fields, next to the ice rink in Fraser. There are 40 beds of various sizes and prices.  28 beds are inside the hoop house and 12 beds are outside with individual hoops. All beds have individual drip irrigation systems and there are hoses available to everyone. For questions, please contact the site coordinator, Debbie Buhayar, at 970.281.2800.

GSuite Series: Gmail & Calendar

GSuite, offered by Google, provides a full suite of tools that allows individual and businesses to use tools similar to Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. GSuite lives in the cloud and is accessible from most devices that are internet connected. You can be on your computer, tablet, and phone all at once. This also makes GSuite highly collaborative. Multiple users can be working on the same document simultaneously in real time communication. Because all your work lives in the cloud, you never have to back it up or worry about finding previous versions.

The GSuite Series offers an overview of the tools associated with GSuite with an option to become GSuite Certified. Take one class or all four classes plus the certification for class number five!

Microsoft Excel 101 for Business

This class is tailored to beginner business users with little to no experience and those who wish to refresh their learning on the basics of spreadsheets/ Microsoft Excel . This course will cover the foundations of spreadsheets, basic calculations, formatting, working with data and printing spreadsheet documents.

Specific items covered include;

  • Navigation
  • Basic Calculations
  • Simple Budget Planning
  • Creating Mailing lists and reports

This class will be held at Headwaters Center beginning at 8:30 am; doors open one-half hour before the course begins. Instruction will go until 12:30 pm.

Grand County Colorado Tourism Board

The Grand County Colorado Tourism Board (GCCTB) has contributed significant grant funds to directly support advertising and marketing efforts or special events that promote tourism within the county, particularly those that encourage overnight lodging. National Sports Center for the Disabled

It’s true! The National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD) is recognized around the world as a premier therapeutic recreation organization, providing leadership and expertise in adaptive sports. Hard to believe we have it right here in Grand County! The NSCD offers a variety of year-round sports and recreational adventures. All programs are designed for individuals, families, and groups and are available for all levels of ability, from beginner to advanced. Do you dream of being an elite racer? The philosophy of the Winter Park Resort Competition Center is to offer the opportunity to achieve ones’ highest potential as an athlete, person, and competitor. As one of the oldest clubs in the region, it has a rich tradition in alpine racing, freestyle, and Nordic competition.
